This free community-organized event takes place every month on the first Friday of that month from 6 to 10 p.m. Gather your traveling companions and head out for a fun, festive evening where artists and art lovers can meet and mingle in Downtown Fort Myers’ buzzing River District. The Art Walk consists of a self-guided walking tour that winds through the River District and Gardner’s Park area around all of the open local galleries. Stop in to meet the artists behind some of Fort Myers’ most beautiful paintings, mixed media, and watercolor works. Along the way, First Street is lined with vendors and live art demonstrations to watch the pros in action. Explore the galleries, meet with locals, maybe even find a piece to take home! However you spend the evening, this monthly tradition is worth scheduling time for.
